Alain Ducasse at The Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle 2015

On Thursday 10^th November, the world’s favourite cooking shuffle, The Grand Gelinaz! Shuffle Two (2) returns.  The international restaurant shuffle involves forty of the globe’s best Chefs from five continents and seventeen different countries, who pack their tools, leave their kitchens and swap restaurants, homes and lives for one day only. Following last year’s great success, this project proposes to push culinary boundaries, cultural differences and creativity for another year.

Each Chef is picked in a random ballot before being told where their new location will be. Kept under wraps until the very last minute, Chefs travel to their new location three days prior to the event to become immersed in the life of their new colleagues, families, friends, houses and new kitchens. At the restaurant the new chef works with the team to create an eight course menu inspired by the culinary delights and culture of the new city.

Dinners served simultaneously across the globe in the world’s biggest restaurant mash up which the public can buy tickets for…so long as they know that their Chef for the night won’t be revealed until the evening of the 10th November.

Last year’s Shuffle saw René Redzepi take residence at Nahm in Bangkok, Mauro Colagreco make a trip to Hisa Franko in Slovenia and Claude Bosi going to San Francisco’s Atelier Crenn. The 2016’s Shuffle Two(2) will see names such as: Massimo Bottura, Danny Bowien, Riccardo Camanini, Paul Carmichael, Dominique Crenn, Virgilio Martinez, Vladimir Mukhin, Yoshihiro Narisawa, Niko Romito…
