Welcoming Jamavar to London

Brining warming Indian flavours to London, Jamavar arrives in the heart of Mayfair.

Heading up the kitchen, Chef Rohit Ghai – formerly of Michelin starred restaurants Gymkhana, Trishna and Benares – has spent the past six weeks in India researching the ingredients and cooking processes of the dishes that will make up his new menu. This signature Indian restaurant is also making its debut outside of India, forming part of The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, an award-winning collection of ultra-luxury hotels across India, and family run business.

Celebrating traditional Indian cuisine is a fundamental aspect of The Leela with this London opening representing the first one in Europe and the sixth across the world with five locations spread around India, in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa and Mumbai. The menu showcases dishes from the various flavours of the Royal kitchens of the North along with succulent options from the rivers and shores of the South. The first Jamavar restaurant opened in Bengaluru in 2001 and since then it has received awards and international recognition across the globe.
