The ongoing conflict in Syria has caused one of the biggest humanitarian tragedies of our age. Millions of people, particularly children are continually living in danger, having lost their families, their homes and belongings.

In support of the victims of the war in Syria, this November Unicef’s NEXTGen London and Clerkenwell_Boy will be launching a nationwide fundraising initiative in collaboration with SUITCASE Magazine. A number of top UK chefs and restaurants will be participating in this fundamental event preparing a special charity dinner by adding a ‘Syrian inspired twist’ to their dishes and donating £2 from the sale of every dish. Chef talent working for the occasion includes Nuno Mendes, Angela Hartnett, Jose Pizarro and Yotan Ottolenghi.

The month long campaign will start on Monday 31^st October with a special banquet held at 180 The Strand and hosted by The Store Kitchen with the aim of raising money for Unicef UK’s Children of Syria Fund. Other events throughout the month will include: a one-off Syrian inspired breakfast designed by Symmetry Breakfast and The Good Egg; cooking demonstrations at Borough Market, and Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen will be holding a special charity supper club where restaurant’s graduates will cook alongside with Syrian chefs to raise money.

UK restaurants and food partners that will be participating to this wonderful event include: Barrafina, Carousel, Caravan, Ottolenghi, Marksman Public House, Taberna Do Mercado, The Dairy Group, The Modern Pantry…and the list goes on.
