After the astounding success of London favourite Petersham Nurseries in Richmond, a second branch of the much-loved nursery, shop and café has arrived in Covent Garden, Central London. The new opening includes a home and garden shop, a delicatessen, wine cellar and florist, with two restaurants and a bar to come in the new year.

Blending Italian and British style, the carefully-curated shop stocks a range of items handpicked by the Petersham family, from furniture to Murano glass. Without straying too far from their roots, the shop is also home to a range of gardening equipment and provides inspiration for urban-gardening, such as window boxes and terrariums.

New to the Petersham Nurseries’ offering, this Covent Garden offshoot will feature a Delicatessen, with a range of Italian and British produce. From fresh eggs that are used to make pasta every day, to the seasonal fruit and veg and the Petersham Nurseries’ own jam, the Delicatessen supports both artisanal and local suppliers. Here you can pick up a bottle of wine from the Petersham Cellar; under the careful guidance of Managing Director Lara Boglione and her husband Giovanni Mazzei of Marchesi Mazzei, the cellar stocks a selection of fine Italian wines and will host both wine tastings and lunches.

Of course it wouldn’t be Petersham Nurseries without a florist, and this is no exception. Using seasonal British flowers, the skilled team create vibrant, dramatic and wild arrangements, from small posies available in store to enchanting designs for events and special occasions.

With the Petersham Nurseries Café in Richmond being a must-visit destination for Summer dining, it is no surprise that the two new restaurants coming to Covent Garden have caused quite a stir. These eagerly-anticipated dining spots and set to open in early 2018 – and it can’t come soon enough!
