The property is the first European project from American hotelier Michael Achenbaum in collaboration with renowned Red Rooster’s Chef Marcus Samuelsson, acclaimed American restaurateur.

The Curtain is set to have 120 bedrooms spread over 9 floors, restaurants, meeting and event spaces, a 24h fitness centre in collaboration with The Vault Gym and a rooftop pool to create the perfect home for creative entrepreneurs.

The bedrooms and suites will have a quirky yet luxurious style with exposed brick walls, hardwood flooring, modern lighting and custom-designed artwork by British photographer, Mick Rock. The rooms will have all the classic amenities however, at The Curtain, they take their minibar very seriously: products in all rooms have been meticulously sourced and a bartender will arrive with a sundowner trolley, to mix cocktails in-room daily.

Chef Michael Samuelsson will launch his renowned Red Rooster restaurant at the hotel, serving classic American dishes but inspired by the Shoreditch’s surroundings. Alongside the restaurant Michael will also open an all-day taqueria and bar serving Mexican delicacies.

A Moroccan styled heated pool will be located in the rooftop, open all year round, accessible to hotel guests and members. An all-day restaurant and bar, The LIDO, will be providing fresh and seasonal dishes with a beautiful view over the East London skyline.

Last, but by no means least, the members’ club will be a carefully curated collection of spaces for members-only. These spaces – including a rooftop restaurant, pool and the late-night Billy’s Bar – will be open from 8am until 2am for drinks, lunches, dinner…and everything in between.
