Clipstone is the newest opening of the young and passionate team behind Portland. Its sister restaurant, located in Fitzrovia, just around the corner, mixes an accessible approach to everyday dining with the same principles that define Portland, which it mixes with a warm, relaxed and minimalist design.

The menu presents an inviting list of cold cuts, summer plates and larger sharing dishes including Lardo di Colonnata, caramelised walnuts and mussels, sake, coriander & olive oil, whilst clam, parsley, crème fraiche and garlic flatbread is representative of dishes that will be cooked in the pizza oven. The philosophy driving the team is to craft and rework simple and seasonal ingredients in a satisfying but innovative way.


Clipstone also aims to showcase a variety of global winemaking methods, styles and technological advances in wine. An extensive drinks list is also available, featuring an original line-up of well-made wines on tap.
The Clipstone’s team sees Stuart Andrew (previously at Lyle’s and La Gazzetta) to lead the new kitchen team as Head Chef whilst Edoardo Pellicano (previously of Viajante) takes the reins at Portland. Merlin will run between the two venues overseeing both restaurants as Executive Chef.

Reservations are available for lunch but dinner will work on a walk-in basis only.
