The Estate

Sited centrally within the Scottish Highlands National Nature Reserve, the 10,000 acre Glen Affric Estate is often considered to be amongst the most beautiful places in Scotland. The graceful Victorian hunting lodge on Glen Affric Estate has been restored to retain provenance whilst ensuring the usual modern comforts are provided, set on the shores of a tranquil loch, surrounded by 10,000 acres of wilderness.

The Lodge has eight luxe bedrooms and five bathrooms, each with its own individual character and charm.

Loch Affric provides endless possibilities to enjoy the perfect day out of doors. Whether your passion is fishing for brown trout from boat or shore, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding or sailing, most boat based pleasures are able to be catered for. The trail around the loch is a pleasure and a joy to tackle on foot, by mountain bike, or aboard one of our characterful Highland ponies. All can be enjoyed while ospreys or eagles overfly, and red deer survey the scene. At the western end of the loch, a sandy beach and a turf roofed fishing hut welcome visitors. It’s a mesmerisingly wild place for relaxing, be it alone, with friends, or possibly in company with a wee dram : this of course whilst contemplating – or indeed in anticipation of – a fine barbecue.

To ensure you have the most wonderful escape we will be delighted to cater for additional activities for your enjoyment. Examples of such extra activities include golfing days, partridge game shoots (seasonal), music nights, vintage whisky tasting, executive transport: limousines, private aeroplanes and helicopters, events organisers, babysitting service and children’s parties.
