Built with the features of a country boutique hotel and located close to the slopes of Mount Etna, the biggest active volcano of Europe, Monaci delle Terre Nere houses an organic farm and many original features. The beautiful residence exudes a special energy and invites its guest to experience and explore the traditions and culture of Sicily. In this exclusive experience your bespoke stay will include extensive sampling of the ‘Slow Food’ produced by the property’s kitchen, along with the opportunity to learn about Sicilian gastronomy along the way through a special cookery class designed especially for you. You will also have the opportunity to pick ingredients from the hotel’s organic garden and select herbs for personalised cocktails to enjoy at aperitivo hour.

Three evening meals at the iconic ‘Locanda Nerello’ restaurant, following the principles of Slow Food
Aperitivo before every dinner at the Convivium Bar or by the pool*
Cooking class with the chef and lunch by the pool allowing guests to discover and learn the secrets of making homemade gnocchi**
Herb route: guests will take a stroll in the hotel’s herb garden to discover their signature scents and flavours before making a bespoke herbal infusion
At an additional cost guests have the opportunity to organise a private excursion of Etna with a private guide. Subject to season, weather condition and availability
